Myth 1 Absolutely yes, the incentives are driving consumers to view your ad. But the issue you need to consider is this... without the incentive, the cost to reach those same consumers would be much higher. Also, email advertising can serve to develop brand awareness and equity in the market, which drives ongoing revenues and success. The bottom line is that if you need a larger reach in a short period of time, you must take on board a higher risk. Incentivised permission email is a suitable product for you.
